TwitchCon this year was EPIC! The VREAL team headed to San Diego for demos last weekend, and we left filled with joy and new friendships to boot. We couldn’t have asked for a better event, and that is in large part due to the awesome streaming community.
VREAL Meets Streamers; Streamers Meet VREAL
This was the first time that we got the chance to show streamers what we’ve been working on, and we couldn’t be happier with their reactions:
“After experiencing [VREAL] firsthand, I can 100% say it’s exactly what I wanted it to be and more” – @Timdottv
“If you are a community based streamer, and are focused on making your community feel like they matter and are involved, [VREAL] is the tech you want.” – @Crasskitty
On top of the VREAL demos, we hosted the first ever TwitchCon VR Social where we showed VR games to our guests, met tons of amazing people, and gave away some seriously sweet loot.
We also participated in a panel with our partner Intel: “Maximize VR for Performance and Streaming”, with Kent Bye [Voices of VR], Frank Soqui [Intel], Todd Hooper [VREAL], and Zac Eubank [HyperRPG]. The panel lives on the twitch page for FrankerZ, which can be watched here if you missed it!
All of this made possible by our sponsors!
We want to give a HUGE shoutout to our amazing partners, which made all of TwitchCon possible for us.
Intel: Thank you for providing all of the gear we needed to host a kick-ass VR Social! Together, we got to show some VR newbs what VR is all about!
Plantronics: Here’s what our guests got at the VR Social. We used these same RIG-500 headsets during our demos throughout the show, and they fit perfectly over the HTC Vive headset!
MSI: The MSI team hooked us up with rigs to run our demos all weekend, as well as those adorable dragon keychains for our VR Social guests! We couldn’t believe how well VR ran on every single rig they sent us. Seriously, if you want to stream VR, we highly recommend any one of these: MSI Aegis, MSI GE62VR and MSI GS73VR.
NVIDIA: Thanks for giving us a GeForce GTX 1080 Founders Edition to give away at our VR Social! It went to a well-deserving streamer – he was jumping up and down with joy when we called out his ticket number.
ArenaNet: All guests at our VR Social got a copy of Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns Ultimate Edition on a sweet Guild Wars 2USB stick.
Thanks to everyone that took the time to come try our demo, came to our VR Social and watched our panel! We hope you weren’t disappointed. If you’re interested in learning more about VREAL, you can follow our social channels [Twitter: @VREALofficial][Facebook: /vreal][Discord]
