VREAL debuts at SVVR

Last week, VREAL pulled back the curtain with our official announcement as being the first-ever platform for game streaming and discovery in Virtual Reality. A year’s worth of work came to fruition when the VREAL team flew to San Francisco to show the first-ever preview of our platform. The trip started with a day at UploadVR’s “The Collective” work space, where we showed VREAL off to a variety of media — big and small. We also had the pleasure of chatting with UploadVR’s Co-Founder & Editor in Chief, Will Mason, who later said “[VREAL] is the type of streamed VR experience I have been looking for, one that exists truly in virtual reality, and adds new life to the experience as a whole.”

The team then headed to San Jose for SVVR2016, where we gave dozens of demos to game developers, streamers, and media. Regardless of who saw the demo, once people stepped into the lounge they became believers in what VREAL is all about — a social VR environment that brings fans and streamers together.

Among the list of media was Andrea Rene and Dylan Walker from Yahoo! Esports with their team of capture artists and production experts. The Yahoo! Team set up and captured video from the VREAL lounge while Andrea chatted with VREAL CEO Todd Hooper about the nuts and bolts of our platform. Afterwards, we showed Dylan a sample MOBA game we developed to demonstrate what the future of Esports in VR could be with VREAL.
